Trinity Guest House

in Support of the Lutheran Liberia Mission

The Lutheran Church − Missouri Synod (LCMS) has supported Christian work in Liberia for over forty years. The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Liberia (ELCL) was founded in 2009 and is a partner church of the LCMS. The LCMS facilitates leadership development of ELCL lay pastors by creating curriculum materials and their leadership training program.

The Trinity Guest House is located within the Lutheran Liberia Mission Community approximately 50 miles from Monrovia and provides temporary housing to stay in safety and comfort for visiting missionaries and mission volunteers supporting the Lutheran Liberia Mission. The Guest House has five apartments. Each apartment has two bedrooms each with one queen or king sized bed. This mission is supported by Trinity Lutheran Church, Utica, NY and Bread of Life Lutheran Church, Rome, NY and others moved by God to facilitate the spread of the Gospel message in Africa.

Our hope is that the Trinity Guest House will become a center of education not only for Christian theology but also for various crafts and trades to help the people find and provide gainful employment in the region. We hope to attract masons, electricians, carpenters, farmers, auto and motorcycle mechanics and other such skilled persons who can come and teach, sharing their knowledge and skills. By the grace of God and with His help, may it be so. Recently, volunteers sealed the community well and installed a heavy duty pump to help provide easy access to water.
